Bookstore History

Established in 1977, Bookfare operated successful secondhand and antiquarian bookshops across Scotland and the English Lake District for a quarter of a century. Their Windermere storefront on Victoria Street served locals, hikers, and travelers exploring the Lake District National Park. After closing its physical retail doors, the business transitioned entirely to online and postal book cataloging.
