A “book house” at the corner of Wall and Houghton reopened with a new name and look — but a familiar face running the operation.

Taking over Windows Booksellers from its longtime owner on June 1, Adam McInturf has renamed it Arches.

Our longtime bookseller, Adam McInturf, will be taking over ownership June 1st and relaunching as Arches Bookhouse. May 31st will be the final day of our existence as “Windows Booksellers Portland.” We are so excited for this transition.

Be sure to save the date for our final Great Summer Booksale at the end of May to help clear room on the shelves for all the new inventory waiting to be unveiled in the new shop!
